Fall 2017 and 2018 RVAstem Events:
We are planning our April 19th 2018 event and
welcome input on how we can make it even better.
2017 was a great sucess and we want to build on that.
Looking for Teachers, Volunteers and Sponsors fr this RVA Metrowide Event.
We are using racing and NASCAR(tm) to bring to life
STEM topics in the SOLs students are learning about.
We are also planning to do sponsor free motorcoach bus day trips to the
USA Science Festival Friday April 6th.
In 2016 we took 110 kids and teachers from Goochland and Richmond Public Schools.
This year we plan more 5 buses? 10 buses?
But we need Sponsors! Each busload costs about $1,500
Please call Eric Sundberg 804-423-1100
if you can help or have ideas on either one of these events.

This site was started to help promote STEM education programs (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ) education in the Richmond, Virginia metro area, ( RVA = Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover, Goochland, Petersburg and Ashland)
While there are many STEM education programs in Richmond, some are hard to find. We started this site as a community resource in April 2013 to make it easier. We are especially interested helping low income students that are gifted with high ability in science, engineering and math. There are few STEM education charities and we aim to highlight them. We welcome your input, just use the contact link to the left or call me weekdays 1-804-423-1100.
Promoting STEM education for low income children takes volunteer time and money. Please consider donating to the sites below that appeal to you. And contact them for volunteer opportunities. There is something for everybody to do. You don't have to be a teacher, scientist or engineer. You just need to appreciate the value of helping children get interested in STEM careers and want to help.
Be sure to bookmark this site in your favorites, like us on Facebook and get the word out about this resource. Thanks! Eric Sundberg, Webmaster.
