Vision
RVA-STEM is a volunteer nonprofit group that works to inspire, engage, and educate underserved youth in the Greater Richmond, Virginia community in science, technology, engineering and math fields. We do this to expand their horizons and to meet the growing demand for STEM professionals.
Values
RVA-STEM values developing interest in STEM at an early age to fully ignite the passion and cultivate their aptitude in STEM focused education and careers.
RVA-STEM values working with our educators and STEM educational and experiential resources to help grow their reach and effectiveness.
RVA-STEM values hands-on, educational programs, utilizing interdisciplinary curricula including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, art, and design.

USA Science Festival Field Trip April 15, 2016 at the Washington DC Convention Center
RVAstem is sponsoring a one day field trip for low income middle school students to attend at no expense to them. We expect to take 110 students and chaperones.
